Urdu Language Foundations Course for Grades 1-5
Objective:
The objective of this Urdu Language Foundations course is to guide children in developing skills in reading, writing, and speaking Urdu in a structured, age-appropriate manner. The course will gradually increase in complexity, fostering linguistic fluency and cultural understanding.
Grade 1: Introduction to Urdu Basics
Focus Areas:
- Urdu Alphabet: Familiarizing students with the Urdu script and sounds (28 letters). This will involve learning the names and correct pronunciations of each letter and their various shapes depending on their position in words.
- Basic Vocabulary: Introduction to essential Urdu words, including common nouns (objects, animals, people), verbs (action words), and adjectives (descriptive words).
- Simple Sentence Formation: Understanding how to form basic sentences by combining learned vocabulary (e.g., “یہ کتاب ہے” – This is a book).
- Reading Short Stories: Introduction to simple Urdu stories and practicing basic reading comprehension. Children will read stories that use familiar vocabulary and grammar.

- Grammar Rules: Basic grammar topics such as nouns, pronouns, and adjectives, helping students understand their role in constructing sentences.
