Objective:
The objective of this Art & Craft course is to foster creativity and artistic expression in students while developing their fine motor skills. Through hands-on activities, students will explore various art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. The course encourages imaginative thinking and the ability to express oneself through visual arts.
Grade 1: Introduction to Basic Art Concepts
Focus Areas:
- Drawing Basic Shapes and Patterns: Students will start by learning how to draw basic shapes such as circles, squares, triangles, and lines. These foundational skills will form the basis for all future artwork.
- Introduction to Coloring and Painting: Students will experiment with different coloring tools (crayons, colored pencils, markers) and learn simple painting techniques (watercolors and tempera).
- Simple Craft Activities: Basic craft activities like cutting, pasting, and creating collages will help students improve their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
